3D Animatic
Last Night I had a dream that a giant, blank storyboard was trying to attack me. It stood there, looming, and stared at me, growing larger and larger by the second...
But I fear the STORY-MONSTER NO MORE!!! The 3D Animatic is DONE! (I need still to add one more shot and one insert, but its as good as finished.) Actual animation has started and visual development is well underway. Expect to see much more from Stay Cool in the coming weeks.
Below is a link that you can follow in order to view a clip from the 3D Animatic. However, before you do, YOU MUST UNDERSTAND, as with most of the material you will see on this Blog, it is extremely ROUGH.
The purpose of an ANIMATIC (for those of you who don't already know) is to give the filmmakers an idea of what the EDITING, CAMERA ANGLES, STAGING and OVERALL PACING of the film will feel like. The 3D Animatic (more appropriately referred to by my british friends as a 'block test') answers questions like: "What scenes are working, which aren't?" "Is this angle too extreme?" etc... The animation is intentionally, ELEMENTARY and BLAND. So, this may be interesting, though not fully entertaining. ...just one more thing to help you understand the process of animation and what exactly takes so much dag-nabbed TIME.

Ah! That's awesome! I actually laughed out loud, for what it's worth. Something about watching people get hit in the head. It's one of those gags that never gets old.
It's really cool to see the progress. Thanks for the updates. I new I kept checked this feed for a reason.

Thanks for the encouraging words, fellas. This film is looking for an audience and the sooner it finds one, the better.
